Sustainability and economics need to and can go hand-in-hand to create lasting food system solutions. This handbook shares insights and practical tools to improve the economic dimension of food forests based on in-depth work at four food forest projects in the U.S. and Germany as well as literature on food forests worldwide. This guide is structured along the success factors which we found to be relevant when developing sustainable food forests.
